Does the Huawei CPE Max 5 work with Zain, stc and Ooredoo in Kuwait?

Yes — it takes a data SIM from any Kuwait carrier. The H352-381 supports 5G Standalone (SA) and Non-Standalone (NSA) modes and covers the n1 (2100 MHz), n3 (1800 MHz) and n78 (3.5 GHz) bands Kuwait's 5G networks use, with Category 20 4G LTE for fallback.

How fast is the CPE Max 5 in practice?

The unit is rated up to 5.4 Gbps download and 500 Mbps upload, but no site reaches the rated ceiling. Your actual speed depends on distance to the serving cell, how congested that cell is, and how accurately the unit is aimed — which is why we survey several mounting points before drilling and document the measured speed at handover rather than quoting the box figure.

What is the difference between the CPE Max 5 and the CPE Max 6?

Both units are rated to the same 5.4 Gbps peak download and 500 Mbps peak upload, so speed is not the deciding factor. The Max 5 (H352-381) has 4x4 MIMO antennas at 10.5 dBi peak gain, a gigabit handoff port, and a 2-year warranty. The Max 6 (H362-383) has 11 dBi antennas, a 2.5GE handoff port, and a 3-year warranty. The Max 5 is the better value unless you specifically want the extra antenna gain or the faster port.

How much does the CPE Max 5 cost installed in Kuwait?

The router is KWD 159. Standard installation for a home or small office is KWD 20 and is usually completed in a single visit. Sites needing a mast, a long cable run, or extra access points are quoted after the survey.

Does it need a separate power cable outside?

No. The unit is powered over Ethernet (PoE), so a single cable carries both power and data from indoors out to the router. That keeps the outdoor installation to one cable entry, which is easier to weatherproof and safer than running mains power to the mounting point.

Will it survive Kuwait's summer heat and dust?

The enclosure is IP65-rated — dust-tight and protected against water jets. Our installers mount it out of unnecessary direct sun where the site allows, and fit weatherproofing, grounding and surge protection at the cable entry.
