About the TP-Link TL-POE150S

A PoE injector is the simple answer when one device needs Power over Ethernet but the switch does not provide it. The TL-POE150S sits between an ordinary switch or router and the device: network in on one port, network plus power out on the other. It suits a single ceiling access point, an IP phone at a desk or one camera on a wall, without replacing the switch.

It follows IEEE 802.3af, so it detects whether the connected device is PoE-capable and supplies only what it needs, up to 15.4 W at the port, and sends nothing to a non-PoE device. Both ports are gigabit, so it does not slow the link, and power and data travel up to 100 m.

The injector is plug and play, measures 110 x 57 x 35.7 mm and runs from a 48 V adapter, rated for -5 to 40 °C. For PoE+ devices such as Wi-Fi 6 access points that need more than 15 W, choose the TL-POE160S instead.
