TP-LINK TL-SF1009P 9-Port 10/100Mbps Desktop Switch with 8-Port PoE+

The TL-SF1009P is a cost-effective PoE+ switch for devices that do not need gigabit speed: IP cameras, IP phones, door stations, card readers and small sensors. Each of its eight PoE+ ports gives up to 30 W, within 65 W in total, and a ninth port links to the recorder or router. All ports are 10/100 Mbps, which is plenty for a camera stream or a phone call but not for an access point or a PC.

It is designed for surveillance work. Extend Mode carries power and data up to 250 m for cameras at the far end of a car park or wall, Priority Mode protects ports 1 and 2 for the most important cameras, and Isolation Mode keeps the connected devices from reaching each other, which limits the damage if one camera is compromised.

The switch needs no setup, is fanless, measures 171 x 98 x 27 mm, and runs from a 53.5 V adapter, drawing about 4 W itself plus the PoE load. It is rated for 0 to 40 °C, so in Kuwait it should be inside a cooled room or a ventilated, shaded cabinet.
