Questions about domain search
Can I register a domain here?
No. UltraTech is not a domain registrar. This tool only checks availability using public registry data. To register, use an accredited registrar for the extension you want.
How does the search know a domain is free?
For most extensions we ask the registry itself through RDAP, the official lookup protocol. If the registry says the name does not exist, it is free at that moment. Someone could still register it a minute later.
Why does .kw say "probably available"?
Kuwait's registry does not offer a public RDAP lookup, so for .kw we check DNS instead. A name with DNS records is certainly taken; a name without them is probably free but not confirmed until the registry accepts it.
The domain I want is taken. What now?
Try a different extension, add your area or "kw" to the name, or check the expiry date shown: some domains are not renewed. We suggest a few free alternatives under each search.
Is my search stored or shared?
Searches are not saved to any account and we do not reserve or front-run names. Results are cached for a few minutes so repeat searches are fast.
