Linksys 24-Port Managed Gigabit PoE+ Switch with 4 1G SFP Uplinks (LGS328PC)

The LGS328PC is the mid-budget managed PoE+ switch of Linksys's LGS3 range. Every one of its 24 gigabit ports supplies PoE+, with 250 W in total, which suits an office floor where many ports power phones (3 to 7 W each) and some power access points or cameras. Four 1G SFP slots provide fibre uplinks to the core or between floors.

The software is the full LGS3 set: 256 VLANs, an auto voice VLAN that places IP phones on their own network, IPv4 and IPv6 static routing, 802.1X with RADIUS, ACLs, DHCP snooping, IP-MAC binding and port security, plus LACP link aggregation, STP/RSTP/MSTP and loop detection. IGMP snooping keeps camera and IPTV multicast off ports that did not ask for it, and SNMP, RMON, syslog and port mirroring support monitoring.

Switching capacity is 56 Gbps at 41.7 million packets a second. The 1U chassis is 43.8 x 25.5 cm, weighs 3.67 kg, is cooled by two fans and is rated for 0 to 50 °C. For more PoE (410 W) and 10G uplinks, the LGS328MPC is the higher model.
