About the Linksys LGS352MPC

The LGS352MPC is the largest switch in Linksys's LGS3 range: 48 gigabit ports, all PoE+, sharing 740 W, about 15 W per port with all 48 in use. That makes one switch enough for a whole floor of IP phones, access points and cameras, or for a mid-sized CCTV system feeding a central NVR.

Four 10G SFP+ uplinks connect it to the core or to storage at full speed, and the fabric switches 176 Gbps at 131 million packets a second. Its 32K MAC table, double the 24-port model, suits large flat networks with many devices.

The management set is the same as the rest of the range: 256 VLANs with auto voice VLAN, IPv4/IPv6 static routing, 802.1X, ACLs, DHCP snooping, IP-MAC binding, LACP up to 8 groups, STP/RSTP/MSTP, IGMP/MLD snooping, port mirroring, SNMP v3 and RMON, managed by web, Telnet or SSH with dual firmware images. The 1U chassis has three fans, weighs 4.7 kg and is rated for 0 to 50 °C; under full PoE load it can draw up to 885 W, so plan the rack's power and cooling accordingly.
