TP-Link TL-SX105 5-Port 10G Desktop Switch

The TL-SX105 brings 10 Gigabit Ethernet to a desk without fan noise. All five ports are copper RJ45 and multi-gig: each negotiates 100 Mbps, 1, 2.5, 5 or 10 Gbps to match the device, so a 10G NAS, a 10G workstation, a 2.5G laptop dock and a Wi-Fi 7 access point can share one small switch, each at its own top speed.

That suits video editors, photographers and design studios moving large files to a NAS, home labs and small server rooms, or a fibre internet service above 1 Gbps feeding several fast devices. Switching capacity is 100 Gbps, so all five ports can run at 10G at once, with 74.4 million packets a second, a 32K MAC table and 10 KB jumbo frames.

It is unmanaged and plug and play, with 802.1p/DSCP QoS and flow control. The metal case is 226 x 131 x 35 mm for desk or wall and has no fan, which is rare at 10G. It draws up to 21.4 W from a 12 V adapter and runs warm, so give it some airflow; it is rated for 0 to 40 °C. Use Cat6A cable for 10G at full 100 m runs.
