Old Avaya, NEC, or Panasonic PABX? Migrate without missing a call
We migrate legacy PABX systems across Kuwait to modern IP PBX platforms — numbers ported, existing wiring reused, cutover after hours. And if you're not ready yet, we keep the old system running.
Quick answer
UltraTech migrates aging Avaya, NEC, and Panasonic PABX systems in Kuwait to modern IP PBX platforms — keeping your numbers, reusing existing wiring where practical, and cutting over after hours. We also service legacy systems that aren't ready to retire. Typical destinations: Grandstream UCM (license-free), Yeastar P-Series, 3CX, or Dinstar UC where analog wiring must live on.

How we replace a legacy PABX
Legacy system assessment
We audit your Avaya IP Office, NEC SL/SV, or Panasonic KX system — extensions, lines, wiring — and map the honest upgrade path.
Keep-it-running support
Not ready to replace? We service aging PABX systems — extensions, cards, and handset issues — while you plan the move.
Number porting & trunk migration
Your published numbers move to SIP trunks or stay on existing lines via FXO ports — customers never notice the change.
Wiring reuse
Existing extension wiring often survives the upgrade — analog phones keep working on gateway ports while IP phones roll out gradually.
After-hours cutover
Old system runs until the moment the new one takes over — cutover happens after hours with a rollback plan.
Staff training & handover
Short bilingual training for reception and staff, plus a programmed directory so day one feels familiar.
Where each legacy system usually lands
| Your current system | Common in Kuwait | Typical migration target |
|---|---|---|
| Panasonic KX-TDA/TES/NS | Offices, clinics, showrooms | Grandstream UCM — analog phones kept via gateways |
| NEC SL1000/SL2100, SV series | Trading companies, schools | Yeastar P-Series or Grandstream UCM |
| Avaya IP Office / IP500 | Larger offices, banks' branches | 3CX or Yeastar — feature parity with better apps |
| Any analog-heavy building | Hotels, compounds, older towers | Dinstar UC350/UC8000 — existing wiring reused |

Legacy PBX replacement — FAQs
Our Panasonic PABX still works — why replace it?
If it works and you only need basic calls, keep it — we can service it. Replacement pays off when you need mobile answering, call recording, IVR, branch linking, or when spare parts and cards become scarce. Most KX-TDA/TES systems in Kuwait are now 10–20 years old, and one failed processor card can take the whole office offline with no replacement available.
What do you replace an Avaya or NEC system with?
Usually Grandstream UCM (license-free), Yeastar P-Series (best apps at appliance price), or 3CX (best software features) — sized to your extensions. For sites with lots of analog wiring, a Dinstar UC or gateway setup reuses the existing cabling. We recommend based on your call flow, not a quota.
Can we keep our existing phone numbers?
Yes — landline numbers connect to the new PBX via FXO gateway ports or are migrated to SIP trunks. Your published numbers keep working throughout; the cutover is invisible to callers.
Can we keep our old analog handsets?
Often yes, temporarily or permanently — analog phones connect to FXS gateway ports or a Dinstar UC's built-in analog ports. Many offices migrate desk-by-desk to IP phones over months rather than replacing everything on day one.
How long does a PABX replacement take?
A typical 20–40 extension office takes one to two days of preparation (configuration, provisioning, wiring checks) and one after-hours cutover. Larger or multi-branch sites are phased so no location loses service.
Do you still sell new Avaya, NEC, or Panasonic systems?
We focus on servicing and migrating existing installs rather than selling new legacy PABX hardware — for new systems, modern IP platforms deliver more for less. If you specifically need parts or handsets for an existing system, ask us — we can usually source them.
Send a photo of your PABX cabinet — we'll tell you your options
A photo of the cabinet and roughly how many phones you have is enough for us to identify the system and reply with honest options: service it, partially upgrade, or migrate.
