CCTV that keeps working at −40 °C
Ordinary cameras fog, frost over and switch off in a freezer. We install cameras built for the cold — with heaters, sealed housings and cold-rated cabling — so you get a clear picture of your stock every hour of the day.

Quick answer
UltraTech Kuwait installs CCTV for cold rooms, freezers and blast freezers in Kuwait using low-temperature cameras rated to −40 °C, with anti-fog heating, sealed housings and cold-rated cabling. Standard cameras fog at every door opening and fail in deep cold. We survey each room before quoting, and the system is part of our CCTV installation service in Kuwait.

Why ordinary cameras fail in a freezer
If your cold-room camera shows a white fog, a frosted dome or nothing at all, it isn't faulty — it was never built for the room.
The lens fogs every time the door opens
Warm, humid Kuwait air hits a frozen camera and the picture goes white — exactly when someone walks in.
Frost builds up and the picture dies
Ordinary cameras have no heater. Ice forms on the dome and the camera records nothing for hours.
Cameras stop working in the cold
Most standard cameras are rated only to around −30 °C at best. Blast freezers go below that, and the camera shuts down or reboots.
Cables crack and connections corrode
Normal cable turns brittle in deep cold, and condensation where it leaves the room slowly rots the connectors.
Ordinary camera vs cold-rated camera
| Ordinary CCTV camera | Cold-rated camera we install | |
|---|---|---|
| Lowest working temperature | Around −30 °C at best | Down to −40 °C |
| Door opening | Lens fogs, picture goes white | Heated, anti-fog glass stays clear |
| Frost on the dome | Builds up, picture lost | Heater keeps it clear |
| Cabling | Turns brittle, entries leak | Cold-rated cable, sealed entries |
| Wash-down areas | Not sealed for it | IP67 or stainless housing |
| Power | Standard | Sized for the heater |
What we install instead
Cameras rated for the room
Low-temperature models rated to −40 °C for freezers and blast freezers, chosen per room — not one camera for everything.
Built-in anti-fog heating
Heated housings and anti-fog glass so the picture stays clear through every door opening and defrost cycle.
Sealed, washdown-ready housings
IP67 sealing as standard, and stainless-steel housings for food-processing areas that are hosed down.
Cold-rated cabling, sealed entries
Cable rated for low temperatures, with sealed, insulated wall entries so warm air and moisture never follow it in.
Clear in the dark and in the mist
Infrared and wide-dynamic-range cameras that see into dark corners and through the haze at the door.
Power sized for heated cameras
Heated cold-room cameras draw more power than ordinary ones, so we size the network switch and backup power for them — otherwise they fail to start in the cold.
What a working freezer camera saves you
- Stock loss and shrinkage — see who took what, and when
- Food-safety and hygiene evidence for inspections and audits
- Doors left open — spot it before the temperature climbs and stock spoils
- Staff safety — know who is inside a freezer and when they came out
- Supplier and delivery disputes — footage of every pallet at the dock

Tell us your rooms and temperatures
We reply with the right camera for each room and book a survey.
From survey to a clear picture
- 1
Survey
We measure each room's temperature, humidity and door positions and plan the cable routes.
- 2
Right camera per room
Chillers, freezers and blast freezers each get a camera and housing rated for them.
- 3
Clean, sealed install
Cold-rated cable and sealed wall entries, fitted around your operation to limit door-open time.
- 4
Handover & upkeep
We test through a defrost cycle and door openings, then keep it running under a maintenance contract.

Freezer CCTV questions
Can a normal CCTV camera work inside a freezer?
Usually not for long. Most standard cameras are rated to around −30 °C at best and have no heater, so in a freezer they fog at every door opening, frost over, or shut down. UltraTech Kuwait installs low-temperature cameras rated to −40 °C with built-in anti-fog heating, sealed housings and cold-rated cabling for cold rooms, freezers and blast freezers.
Why does my freezer camera fog up?
When the door opens, warm humid air meets the cold camera and condenses on the lens, and in deep cold it freezes into frost. The fix is a heated, anti-fog housing and sealed cable entries, and in some rooms mounting the camera away from the door's air curtain. Wiping the lens does not solve it.
What temperature can your freezer cameras handle?
We choose per room. Chillers and cold rooms (around 0 to 8 °C) and standard freezers (around −18 to −25 °C) are well within low-temperature camera ratings, and blast freezers down to −40 °C are covered by cameras rated for it with active heating.
Where does the recorder go?
Outside the cold room, in a normal-temperature space or the existing server rack. Only the cameras and their sealed cabling go into the cold. The recorder is sized for Kuwait's 120-day retention requirement where the site falls under it.
Can I watch the cold rooms from head office or my phone?
Yes — securely, without leaving the recorder open on the internet. Businesses with several stores or warehouses can see every site on one screen with our own UltraTech NVR Viewer.
Do you survey before quoting?
Yes, free anywhere in Kuwait. We check each room's temperature, door positions, humidity and cable routes, because those decide which camera and housing will actually last.
