How much do backup services cost in Kuwait?

It depends on data size and how fast you need recovery. A small office solution — NAS plus cloud copy for a server and a few PCs — is a modest one-time hardware cost plus a small monthly fee for cloud storage and monitoring. We audit first, then quote fixed hardware and monthly figures in KWD in writing. It is consistently cheaper than one data-loss incident.

What is the 3-2-1 backup rule?

Keep 3 copies of your data, on 2 different types of storage, with 1 copy offsite. Example: the live data on your server, a backup on a NAS in the office, and an encrypted copy in the cloud. It's the baseline standard we design to — one copy on an external USB disk someone occasionally plugs in does not qualify.

What are RTO and RPO?

RTO (Recovery Time Objective) is how quickly you're back up after a failure. RPO (Recovery Point Objective) is how much recent work you could lose — the gap between backups. A shop might accept a day of downtime and a day of lost data; a clinic or trading company usually can't. We set both numbers with you honestly, because halving either roughly doubles the design effort — and the price.

Does backup protect against ransomware?

Only if it's designed to. Modern ransomware looks for backups and encrypts or deletes them first — a mapped network drive of backups dies with everything else. We use immutable snapshots (which cannot be altered for a set period) and offline or cloud copies with separate credentials, so at least one clean copy always survives.

Do you use Veeam or Acronis?

We deploy the platform that fits the site — Veeam and Acronis for server imaging and replication, Synology's built-in tools for NAS-centric setups, and native cloud backup where it's the right fit. You get the license in your name either way; we're not tied to reselling one vendor.

Is Microsoft 365 already backed up by Microsoft?

Microsoft keeps the service running, but works on a shared-responsibility model: your data is your responsibility. Deleted mail and files past retention limits are unrecoverable, and a compromised admin account can empty a tenant. Can you recover data from a failed hard disk?

Often yes — see our data recovery service for failed drives, deleted files, and corrupted storage. But recovery from dead hardware is expensive and never guaranteed, which is exactly why the backup side of this page exists: with a proper setup you restore in hours instead of praying over a dead disk.

How do we know the backup is actually working?

Under our AMC, backup jobs are monitored and failures investigated the same day — not discovered six months later during an emergency. Scheduled test restores prove real recoverability, and every drill ends with a signed report showing what was restored and how long it took.
