Fiber splicing machine rental in Kuwait — on site when you need it

A fusion splicer is expensive to own and idle most of the year. Rent one from us for a day, a week, or the length of your project — machine, cleaver, and full toolkit, delivered anywhere in Kuwait, with a splicing technician if you want one.

Quick answer

UltraTech Kuwait rents fiber splicing machines across Kuwait by the day, week, or month — a tested fusion splicer with precision cleaver, stripping tools, spare electrodes, and transit case, delivered to your site with an optional splicing technician. Rates are quoted per period on request. If you would rather not operate the machine at all, our fiber splicing service and fiber testing service deliver the finished, certified job instead. What you get in the rental kit

A complete, working kit — not a bare machine you then have to find a cleaver for.

Fusion splicing machine

A working, tested fusion splicer with charged battery and mains charger. Every unit is checked and test-spliced before it leaves our store, so you are not troubleshooting a machine on a live job.

Precision cleaver

A matched high-precision cleaver — the single component that decides splice loss more than any other. Blade position is checked before each hire.

Stripping & prep tools

Jacket stripper, buffer stripper, kevlar shears, and fiber cleaning supplies so the kit is complete rather than nearly complete.

Spare electrodes & consumables

Spare electrode set included. Splice protection sleeves supplied on request and billed by count, so long jobs are not stopped by a sleeve shortage.

Hard carry case

The whole kit travels in its transit case. It ships to your site and comes back the same way, which is also how we settle condition at return.

Handover check & briefing

We hand the kit over with a short walkthrough of the splice program, cleaver alignment, and electrode care. Enough to get a competent technician productive immediately.

Rent the machine, or have us do the splicing?

Most people who search for a splicing machine actually want spliced fiber. Both are fine — here is how to choose.

What contractors rent it for

FTTH drops & building risers

Terminating fiber into apartments, villas, and offices where the run is short but the splice count is high.

Backbone repairs & emergency restoration

A cut duct on a live link is the classic reason to rent — you need a splicer this afternoon, not a purchase order next month.

Data centre & server room patching

Pigtail splicing into ODFs and patch panels during a fit-out, then the machine goes back.

Contractor overflow on a deadline

You own one splicer and have two crews. Renting a second for a fortnight is cheaper than missing a handover date.

Site work on oil, industrial & remote projects

Project-duration hires for sites that need fiber terminated on a schedule and have no reason to own the equipment afterwards.

Testing a purchase before committing

Running a rented kit for a week is the cheapest way to find out whether owning one is actually worth it for your workload.

How the rental works

1

Tell us the dates

Message us the start date, how long you need it, and roughly how many splices. We confirm availability the same day.

2

Quote & paperwork

You get a fixed quote for the period, plus the deposit and the company documents we need. No hourly surprises.

3

Collection or delivery

Collect from us or we deliver to your site anywhere in Kuwait. The kit is handed over checked, charged, and test-spliced.

4

Return & settle

Return the kit in its case at the end of the period. We inspect, settle the deposit, and you keep the invoice for the project file.

Deposit & terms, in plain words

  • A refundable deposit is held against the equipment for the rental period and returned after inspection.
  • We need company documents and ID for whoever collects or receives the kit.
  • Fair wear is on us. Drops, liquid ingress, and foreign objects in the fiber path are charged at repair cost, shown to you as a quotation.
  • Electrodes are consumable — normal wear is not charged. Splice sleeves are billed by the count used.
  • Extensions are usually fine if the kit is not already booked. Tell us before the return date, not after.

Fiber splicing machine rental — questions

How much does it cost to rent a fiber splicing machine in Kuwait?

Rental is quoted per period rather than from a fixed price list, because the rate depends on how long you need the kit and whether you want a technician with it. Daily, weekly, and monthly rates are all available, and longer hires carry a lower effective daily rate. Send us the dates on WhatsApp and you will get a fixed quote for the whole period, not an hourly meter.

What is included when I rent a splicing machine?

The hire includes the fusion splicing machine with battery and charger, a matched precision cleaver, jacket and buffer strippers, kevlar shears, cleaning supplies, a spare electrode set, and the transit case. Splice protection sleeves are supplied on request and billed by the count used.

Do I need training to use a fusion splicer?

A technician who has spliced before will be productive straight away, and we give a short handover briefing covering the splice program, cleaver alignment, and electrode care. If nobody on your crew has spliced fiber before, rent the machine with one of our technicians instead — a poor splice is far more expensive than the day rate.

Can you send a technician with the machine?

Yes. Many customers take the machine and an UltraTech splicing technician together, especially for backbone repairs and handover-critical work where splice loss has to be right the first time. You can also skip the rental entirely and simply book our fiber splicing service, where we bring our own equipment and hand you the finished job.

What deposit do you take, and what do I need to provide?

A refundable deposit is held against the value of the equipment for the rental period, and we ask for company documents and ID for the collecting representative. The deposit is returned after the kit comes back and passes inspection. Exact amounts are confirmed in writing with your quote.

Do you deliver the splicing kit to site?

Yes — we deliver across Kuwait including Kuwait City, Hawally, Farwaniya, Ahmadi, Jahra, and Mubarak Al-Kabeer, as well as the Shuwaikh and Shuaiba industrial areas and remote project sites. You are also welcome to collect. Delivery is quoted with the hire.

What happens if the machine is damaged during the rental?

Fair wear is expected and is on us. Damage from dropping, liquid ingress, or a foreign object in the fiber path is charged against the deposit at repair cost, and we show you the repair quotation rather than simply keeping the deposit. Electrodes are consumable and normal wear is not charged.

Can I rent a splicing machine for a single day?

Yes. Single-day hire is common for one emergency repair or a small batch of terminations. If the job is genuinely one splice, it is usually cheaper to book our splicing service instead of renting the kit and learning it.

What is the difference between fusion splicing and mechanical splicing?

Fusion splicing melts the two fiber ends together with an electric arc, giving very low loss and a permanent joint — this is what the rented machine does. Mechanical splicing aligns the fibers in a connector with index-matching gel: it is faster with no power required, but loss is higher and it is generally treated as a temporary or emergency fix.

Do you rent OTDRs and fiber test equipment as well?

Splicing kit is what we currently rent out. Fiber testing is available as a service — we bring the OTDR and power meter, run the test, and hand you the certified results for your project file. If you need testing equipment on hire specifically, ask us and we will tell you honestly whether we can arrange it.

Need a splicer this week?

Send us your dates and splice count. We confirm availability the same day and quote a fixed price for the whole period.
