Tamara Integration Scope
What a complete integration covers, from eligibility check through to settlement reconciliation
The Integration Flow
Five stages, and the one that is most often got wrong
Eligibility check
Query availability for the cart value and currency before showing Tamara as an option, so customers never see a method they cannot use.
Create checkout session
Create the session server-side with the order total, items and customer details, and receive the hosted checkout URL.
Customer completes checkout
The customer is redirected to Tamara's hosted flow to be approved and to select their instalment plan.
Authorise and capture
Confirm the order status from your backend via the API and webhooks — never from redirect query parameters, which can be spoofed or lost.
Fulfil and reconcile
Update the order management system on successful authorisation, and reconcile settlement reports against your orders.
